I. OBJECTIVES

  1. Show the relationship of putting together 2   or more sets having the same numbers of elements to repeated addition.


II. SUBJECT MATTER

  Comprehension of the concept of multiplication. Showing the relationship 2 or more sets having the same number of elements to repeated addition.

    1. Oral-Give the correct answer orally.

d. Motivation:
1. Ask the pupil if they should know    Mathematics song.
         2. Let the pupil sing mathematics song.

Presentation:
      Show 3 sets of 2 toys.
*What are the toys in the first set? Second set? Third set?
*do you share your toys to your playmates?
 Exploration and Discovery
     2+2+2=
*How many set are there?
*Count the objects do you see in all?

**We say:3 sets of 2  or 2+2+2=6
     The multiplication sentence is 3x2= 6
GENERALIZATION:
     We say that multiplication is repeated addition.



Fixing skills:
          Write the addition sentence of the following then write the corresponding multiplication sentence.
Example:
